Privacy policy
Effective 16 September 2026.
1. Who is responsible
This policy covers https://cosmeticoslatin.com and the Cosméticos Latín store. Cosméticos Latín decides how your data is used to sell, deliver, and support you.
The site was built and is maintained by DESARROLLO EN TECNOLOGÍA ANTARES (https://antaresgt.com). They use your data only so the store can run.
For privacy questions or help, write to [email protected].
2. Data we ask for
We only ask for what we need for your account, order, bank-deposit payment, shipping, and security. Depending on how you use the store, we may keep:
- Name, email, phone, and a profile photo if you upload one.
- Account data: your password is stored protected, never in plain text; the 6-digit code we email you; and fingerprint or Face ID if you turn that on.
- NIT or CUI when the order totals Q 2,500 or more, or when you give it for invoicing.
- Shipping address, references, department, municipality, and gift-recipient details if it is a gift.
- What you bought: products, quantities, prices, coupons, discounts, surcharges, code CL-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXX, and order status. The total that counts is the one the store confirms when the order is created.
- Payment: we do not ask for or store card numbers. Only the method (bank deposit) and the receipt photos you upload.
- Wishlists and gifts: list name, whether it is visible, and, if someone buys your list, the gifter’s email and name so we can notify the recipient.
- Security data: IP, browser, language, and, if you enable alerts, the subscription used to notify you in the browser.
- The cart stays on your phone or computer. We do not see it until you confirm the order.
3. How we collect it
- When you register, sign in, edit your profile, check out, look up an order, or upload a receipt.
- Necessary cookies and data stored in your browser, described in the cookie policy.
- Automatic server logs (IP and browser type) to keep the store safe.
- Your browser, if you allow alerts.
- If you buy without an account, we create a customer record so we can ship the order.
4. Why we use it
- Create your account, send the verification code, and keep you signed in.
- Process orders, check stock and prices, and ship after we confirm the deposit.
- Send order, verification, password-recovery, and gift emails.
- Handle questions, receipts, and claims.
- Meet invoicing duties when a NIT or CUI applies.
- Prevent fraud and abuse.
- Improve the store with overall numbers, never to sell your profile.
5. Why we are allowed to use it
We use data to fulfill the purchase or your account, to invoice when the law requires it, with your permission (alerts, fingerprint or Face ID, and extra cookies if we ever add them), and to run and protect the store, as long as that does not override your rights.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We do not give it to data brokers or use account or order data for third-party personalized ads.
These parties receive only what they need:
- DESARROLLO EN TECNOLOGÍA ANTARES, who maintains the site (https://antaresgt.com).
- Openinary (https://openinary.cosmeticoslatin.com), where product, profile, and receipt photos are stored.
- The service that sends our email, so order and account messages reach you.
- The browser alert service (and, in Chrome, Google’s) only if you turn on order notifications.
- Carriers and dispatch staff, to deliver the package.
- Authorities, if a current law requires it.
- Social networks (Instagram, Facebook, or others) only if you tap share; they see the product link, not your account.
7. Google services
We do not use Google Analytics, Google ads, or Google sign-in today. We also do not read your Google account.
The site’s fonts come from Google Fonts (https://fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google may see your IP and the file requested to serve the font. We do not send Google your name, email, orders, or receipts.
If you enable alerts in Chrome or another browser that uses Google, the alert may pass through Google’s servers. That is only to send the order notice you asked for. We do not use it for advertising.
We do not sell Google data. We do not use it for ads, credit scoring, or resale. If we later connect Analytics or Google sign-in, we will update this policy and ask for permission first.
8. Where data is processed
We sell and ship in Guatemala.
The site may be hosted in the United States. Photos, email, and alerts may also be processed outside Guatemala. We use a secure connection and limited access.
9. How long we keep it
- Session: one day.
- Verification code and fingerprint or Face ID challenge: a few minutes.
- Account: while it is active. If you ask to delete it, deletion is scheduled for 5 days.
- Orders, tax data, and receipts: for as long as the law requires, even if you delete the account.
- Cart and preferences in your browser: until you clear them.
- Alerts: until you turn off the permission.
10. Security
The site uses a secure connection. Your session is protected and lasts one day. Passwords are stored so they cannot be read. We limit receipt photo size and type. No site is 100% safe; if something looks wrong, write to [email protected].
11. Cookies and data in your browser
We use necessary cookies for language, session, verification code, and fingerprint or Face ID, and we keep the cart in your browser. Names and how to delete them are in the cookie policy. We do not set advertising cookies.
12. Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, update, limit, or object to the use of your data, and to delete what the law does not require us to keep. Write to [email protected] from the email on your account or order, with the CL code if you have it. You can also edit profile and addresses in your account, look up an order with email and number, and ask to delete the account from your profile.
We will reply within a reasonable time. We may ask you to confirm you are the owner. This does not erase orders or invoices the law requires us to keep.
13. Children
The store is for adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from that age. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child gave us data, write to us so we can delete it. You must not create an account or buy if you are not legally old enough to contract.
14. Changes
If we change how we use your data, we will publish the new version with a date. If the change is important (a new use, a new third party, or a different Google service), we will tell you and, when Google or the law requires it, ask for permission again.
